Professor Lynn Frewer is a research professor on Food and Society at the School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Newcastle University, with a special interest in Food Safety and Consumer Behaviour. She has conducted research into issues associated with risk perception and communication, and other issues of relevance to the interface between science and society. Prof Frewer has academic interests in all areas of food and society, including those areas which require transdiciplinary collaboration between the social and natural sciences, and the translation of research results into actional policy recommendations.
