The Workshop “Moving persistence assessments into the 21st century” has been postponed. It is anticipated that it will take place in Helsinki, Finland, in 2022. More information coming soon.
The objective of this workshop will be to report on this recent work at ECETOC, Concawe and Cefic-LRI (including sharing the outcomes of the last workshop in 2018), but also to receive input from key stakeholders to advance the improvement of persistence testing, and evaluations to support effective chemicals management activities.
The workshop will include presentation from key stakeholders, with breaks and open discussions to share ideas and refine the approaches to WoE and testing approaches developed by ECETOC, Concawe, Cefic-LRI and others.
Targeted audience: Technical and decision makers at regulatory bodies, academia and industry working with biodegradation/persistence assessment.
The Cefic LRI and Concawe workshop in 2018 on recent developments in science supportive to the persistence/biodegradation assessment gathered around 80 participants, almost half of which were representatives from regulatory bodies. The key findings from the 2018 workshop are available here.
