This year marks the Cefic Long-Range Research Initiative (LRI) Programme 20th Anniversary. For the past two decades, LRI has fostered innovative research to improve science-based decision-making, build inter-disciplinary and international scientific networks, and engage with partners around the world to link research to chemical risk assessment practice and policy.
Since its creation in 1999, LRI has funded more than 200 projects to address public and stakeholder concerns about chemical risk both to human health and the environment. It has become a unique source of knowledge and tools, and has established itself as a leader in chemical safety assessment research.
Cefic-LRI would like to invite you to come and celebrate this milestone during the LRI Annual Workshop, which will be held at Le Plaza Hotel in Brussels on 14-15 November 2018. The evening plus one-day conference will feature presentations on recently completed projects and posters on recently started ones, covering key topics in chemical risk assessment such as environmental effects, fate, methodology, and prediction, industrial exposure assessment, systemic repeated dose toxicity, developmental toxicity, adverse outcome pathways, or endocrine disruption.
